Halloween for Adults?

Happy Halloween!

Now needless to say, I’ve done a fair few halloweens in my time. From my childhood ones were I wore a bin bag with tin foil stars on that my grandad made me to my low key teenage ones were I went to a friends house and we watched scary movies. These days it seems even adults are getting more into Halloween, with them seeing it as an excuse to dress up and get pissed rather than buying candy and treats for little children that go ‘trick or treating’.

I will admit in my uni days I was a person who got dressed up (usually as something slutty, cringe) and go out and get pissed. I even did so last year, as I went back to my uni town with my boyfriend and partied with friends. This year however, I’m so over it! I jut wanna stay in, watch Hocus Pocus, eat crap and be all cosy and snug at home. I will admit I’ve tried something new though, for the first time this year me and my boyfriend bought a pumpkin and carved it.

Last year my ‘pumpkin’ was a bottle of Rum, this year I have an actual one in my hallway, next to my box of Halloween goodies for any trick or treaters that come knocking. Yes that’s right, I’ve grown up!
