Getting Back On Track! 

Hey!

So I thought today I’d make a little confession to you guys…I haven’t been to a gym since late July. Yep! Nearly two months off from exercising (well, I say that…there was a whole jogging jaunt that lasted approximately fifty five minute and ended with me tripping up on actual air and having a very bruised knee in Greece but asides from that…)

Anyways, as a result of this my whole healthy and balanced approach to exercise and eating was kind of, erm, well fucked.

However, after having over a month off eating what I wanted (mainly shite, might I add) and doing next to little exercise I decided enough was enough and joined a new gym. It took me a while to choose a new gym and I will admit I did quite a bit of research before choosing one. In the end, I went with The Gym Group which is based in Liverpool One.  I chose this gym because I believed it was the best value for my money and I liked the fact that you can have three free one to one training sessions and get a personalised plan. None of the other gyms I researched seemed to offer the same benefits so I joined!

I had my induction today and I must say I was pretty impressed! It’s a beautiful gym with gorgeous views of the Albert Dock and loads of equipment (it even has a stairmaster!)


I’m going to aim to go at least three times  a week which isn’t as much as I used to go in Cardiff but sadly this gym isn’t just down the road!

Luckily, my weight hasn’t been affected that much as I still weigh the same as I did before I moved from Cardiff (I have no idea how I managed that, seriously, it’s a miracle). I think a combination of walking places and being on my feet loads might have helped as did my very healthy and active lifestyle that I had in Cardiff but like I said no fucking idea. I’m usually that unlucky person who puts on weight just for looking at a piece of cake.


In terms of eating, I’ve just made a weekly meal plan which will help me stick to a balanced lifestyle. I’ve also invested in some healthy yet delicious snacks so it’ll help put the chocolate and cake cravings to bed.

Anyway, I thought I’d just share this little update with you guys. I know I haven’t really been eating healthy recently but that’s okay, I’m only human and I’ve been moving and trying to redecorate a house! I think when it comes to a balanced lifestyle its important you give yourself a break once in a while!
