The Super Gooey Salted Caramel Brownies!

Hey Guys!!

Now, I know this may not mean much to any international readers but here in the UK most people are pretty obsessed with the new series of Great British Bake Off  (FYI, Team Selasi all the way!)

Anyways, whenever the show comes back I always find myself wanting to turn into Betty Crocker and just bake! This week I found the most perfect Brownie recipe that I just had to share with you lot, I mean seriously these brownies are incredible!

Now, I originally found this recipe on another bloggers site, the blog is ViviannaDoesMakeUp, if you wanna go check it out.

The brownie recipe on her blog just sounded too good not to give a go. Once baked, the brownies are crispy on the outside and veeeeeery gooey on the inside. A normal batch for me, made around 15 so I sent some up to my dads.

To make you’ll need;

  • 150g Dark Chocolate
  • 150g Unsalted Butter
  • 250g Unrefined Golden Caster Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 100g Plain Flour
  • Caramel Sauce


Melt the butter and chocolate over a bain-marie (pan of hot water with a pyrex bowl) until both combined and then take off the heat and carefully stir in the sugar, followed by each egg, then the vanilla essence and  finally the flour. Pour into a greased and baking parchment lined tin, dollop in the caramel sauce (its up to you how much you’d like) and cook at 180°C/Fan160°C/Gas 4 for 25 minutes. Allow to cool for 20 minutes, then slice and serve!!!
