Camden Calling

So as me and the other half are flying from Stansted today we decided to come up to London earlier and check out somewhere we’ve wanted to explore for ages, Camden Market.

As a noughties girl I always loved that scene in What a Girl Wants when Amanda Bynes and Colin Firth run off to Camden Market and get henna tattoo’s together (awww memories!)

Anyways, me and Jake walked there from Euston Station Which took about 20 mins and was relatively easy as we just followed the road to Camden High Street. Before checking out the market, we were starving so we decided to get a bit of Food. We stopped at a place called Camden Grill and Bakery which looked amazing from the outside and dare I say it very trendy! However, I will admit we were very disappointed. The service was incredibly slow and when we finally got our food it was cold and they had missed things out which were mentioned with it on the menu. We would have understood had the restaurant been busy but it wasn’t. It was tasty but I would have liked it a few degrees warmer!

After our meal we headed for the Lock and market which I will tell you now, was amazing! It was like entering another world with these crazy shops!

The lock was so busy, with tourists and visitors all eager to get a taste of Camden culture!

The market was sooo busy, I think we didn’t realise how popular it would be on a Saturday morning! Our favourite part of the market was the street food part. The smells that were coming from all the different stalls were just out of this world and I’m not gonna lie to you…we did end up sharing a pizza! (Well, we were still hungry from Lunch!)

That pizza slice tasted even better than the pizza we had in Rome, and that’s saying something!

Anyway, that’s it from me now for a fortnight! I’m off on holiday so I hope you guys understand why I’m not gonna be blogging whilst away! However I will be back with a blog post with all my holiday pics and most importantly…my holiday wardrobe!!

Take Care X
