A Mexican Jaunt

A while back, me and Jake headed over to Mexico for a little jaunt and I’ve decided I’d share some of our holiday memories and snaps with guys! Please bare in mind, I’m not a model nor a photographer so these pictures will all be completely in the moment, whilst enjoying ourselves. Forgive me for them not being the best of quality!

We booked a two week all inclusive with Thomson. This was the first all-inclusive holiday my nature and camping loving boyfriend had ever been on so I couldn’t wait to see what he’d make of it. I must admit I was a little apprehensive to his thoughts,  a five star hotel with unlimited food and drink is a tad different to eating a cold can of beans in a leaky tent!

Anyways, we were all excited on the plane ready to take off! We had economy plus seats which had extra leg room and these amazing TVs so we wouldn’t end up trying to kill each other during the flight!

As soon as we landed the heat hit us and hit us hard, here we are on the coach looking like we’re about to pass out.

The hotel we stayed in was called the RIU Cancun, it was a beast of a thing with an open book sort of design.

We had a pretty decent view from our room too!

The view made me itch for the beach so as soon as I could I threw on a bikini and headed downstairs.

The maids left us a little surprise on the bed! After a relaxing afternoon on the sand we leisurely got ready for dinner.
Pina Colada? Yes please!Mexican beer!

The next day we set ourselves up for another day of sun, sea, sand, pool and tequila!

The amazing infinity pool that looked out at the sea!

Unfortunately, it appears I was a little sunburnt 😦

Jake didn’t as he hid with a book!

Top and Skirt both from Topshop

The heat got a bit too much at times and we always nearly fell asleep after dinner.

Sadly, we didn’t realise how burnt Jake was getting!

As we were bit distracted by the huge fly that landed on my bed!

After that traumatic episode we headed for a walk into the local area. Passing the nightlife hotspots on our way.

I found a sombrero!

Sometimes, finding something that you’re used to back home even becomes like a tourist attraction.

Jake was a bit exhausted after a day in the sun!

That’s it for today, but don’t worry I’ll return with more holiday snaps soon!
