What I’m currently throwing on my face

Since my last few posts have all been centred on food (completely by accident, might I add). I thought I’d get back to the good stuff and have a little natter about make up!

Right now, the only foundation I am using is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation in the shade 3. I must admit I am a huge fan of Magic Foundation Range. Although there aren’t many shades in the range all the colours offer perfect skin matches that can suit all. Its a pretty heavy base which makes it perfect for the stormy weather we’ve been having in the UK recently. The finish is pretty flawless but still your skin meaning it’s s win win for everyone!

I’ve also been re-using an old favourite to conceal my dark circles and brighten up my skin a little in these gloomy and wet days. The NARS Creamy Concealer in Vanilla is perfect for giving me full coverage and leaving a highlighted glow to my face.

To give me some cheekbone love I’ve also been contouring with my new Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow Duo. Not only do both products compliment each other on the cheeks but they also give your face a wonderfully natural definition and a glow that doesn’t wear off throughout the day.

As I’m now working full time in an office, for me it’s important keep my make-up simple and easy for them mornings when I can barely open my eyes! To make me look a little more alive on those days I’ve been using Bobbi Brown Eyebrow Mascara in the shade Mahogany. This just fills in any sparse gaps I have in those precious brows and keeps me looking groomed. Weirdly, I’ve recently got back into wearing mascara on my lashes again. Considering I only put mascara on for nights out this is a big step for me. You see, I’ve realised just how much difference putting some mascara on your lashes makes on those days when you’re feeling less than fabulous. The mascara that’s got me feeling all the feels is of course, the Maybelline Lash Sensational. Since I discovered this bargain beauty my lash life has never looked so good!

To finish I usually stick with a lip colour that doesn’t clash too much with my skin tone, for this week that’s the MAC Satin Lipstick in Mocha, a rich and warm winter colour that has an almost creamy texture to it and the best part? It lasts longer than a long, darn day at the office!
