Ok so I know I’m a little late to get in on the whole ‘monthly favourites’ style blogs (oops) so I thought instead I’d do my own thing where I post about the items I discovered in the previous month and I’m still loving the next. That way you can see just how brilliant these products are as I’m still using them!
This month has seen me come into my own in terms of my hair care from switching up my choice of brush I’m actually starting to fall back in love with my hair again! It’s all thanks to The Wet Brush. I stumbled across this beauty must have whilst flicking through YouTube hair tutorials, honestly it was like love at first view! You can brush this wonder through your hair wet or dry and it leaves you with knot free and easy to mange to hair without, might I add the awful pain that some brushes give you! It’s available in boots I believe or you can order online from Cult Beauty. It’s usually about 11.99, bargain!
This month I’ve also been spending more time on my skincare routine, especially my under eye area. I purchased the Clinique All About Eyes rich which is meant to reduce dark circles at the beginning of January and have just started noticing the difference. Of course, a few early nights might have helped a little as well (I swear Christmas was not kind).
In terms of make up the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara has been my go to for my lashes, in all honesty I hardly do anything to my lashes and did go through a period recently of not wearing anything at all on them, terrified of taking it off in the night. However, this mascara gives me curly lashes and is easy to take off, WIN! The Benefit Hervana Blush has also been a constant in my make up bag this month, it just takes my contour to a whole new level especially when I’m after a dewy skin look. After Saturday’s antics in Selfridges the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation has also crept into the list for the simple reason that it perfectly matches the colour of skin when worked into my face and still leaves it flawless. Since purchasing the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion I’ve also noticed how much of a difference a good eye primer makes when applying eyeshadow. Of course my absolute favourite make up purchase has to be the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in the shade Cruella this is the most beautiful red I’ve ever seen and this pencil does absolute wonders to your lips when applied, a must have for red lip fans.
To spice the list up I thought I’d also mention a few other purchases that the cut. Now I love a good perfume so when I was in Victoria’s Secret this weekend I decided to have a sniff of a few of there ones, to see if they were as amazing as all my friends told me. Not going to lie, I might have cried a little with joy when I had a little sniff of Victoria’s Secret, Victoria its just such a gorgeous floral and fruity scent that it’s perfect to wear either in the day to just pop to the shops or in the evening to go out for dinner with friends and I must have covered in my body in this stuff at least twice a day since purchasing. Still in store, I also picked up a new strapless bra which had a little plunge to wear with a play suit I had. I love the bra’s in Victoria’s Secret just for how soft the fabric feels, in my opinion the quality justifies the price (most of the time).
I know it’s a bit of weird item to have on the list but can I just say how much I’m loving marshmallow flavoured vodka?! Honestly, it’s so incredibly tasty that you don’t even need a mixer to drink it with and it doesn’t leave you with a burning sensation at the back of your throat afterward! Since trying some at The Good Food Show in November I think I must have drank about big three bottles of the stuff. Mine is from the brand The Gallery, which specialises in premium vodka that is five times distilled. They do a variety of flavours but I swear the marshmallow is the best.
Now I’m a little late to the game with this final item but I’m now addicted to it. It’s the Netflix original TV series Marvel’s Jessica Jones and its soooo good! If you’re anything like me, a person who loves the Marvel movies than this programme is for you. It’s a lot more suitable for an adult audience with its adult themes but to see a girl heroine fighting the bad guys it’s so worth it!
