So goodbye January, hello February!
This weekend I said goodbye to the first month of the new year by having a girly weekend break in Birmingham with my good uni friend, Tasha.
After my interview in Bristol on Friday I headed straight to Birmingham and we had a night of Chinise food, chocolate and Chatting. We had an early night knowing all too well we were up early make up shopping in the next day.
Now, I’m a huge CT fan already (we share the same initials!) but my friend Tasha had never been or tried out her products before so I made sure she got the full treatment! Needless to say, a fair few purchases were made…(enough for a make up haul blog). Tasha went for ‘The Sophisticate’ make up look and it looked stunning on her in fact she was so impressed she wore it all afternoon. After Tilbury we then hit up Nars and Urban Decay so my make up haul this week will be pretty big I tell you…
After all that shopping we worked up quite an appetite and so we met up with two of our other Birmingham based friends and had some lunch at Bella Italia. I went for the soup to start and then I chose the spiralized vegetable spaghetti in pomodoro sauce for main. Tasha had the beef in red wine with Tagliatelle whilst the others both chose Ravioli. The service and food was beautiful, I gotta tell you I’m really getting into Spiralized Vegetable Spaghetti recently!
Once we were full we headed back into The Bullring for some last minute shopping essentials (tights and razors, please!) before saying goodbye to our other friends and heading to our hotel.
Our hotel was the Holiday Inn in the centre of Solihull, it’s a four star gem in the city centre and has fantastic leisure facilities.
After checking out the facilities and the pool obviously! We started getting ready for our night on the town, using some of our new products. I fell in love with the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation and Nars Cruella Velvet Matte Lip Pencil such a stunning lip colour.
The next morning we nursed our sore heads with the hotels full English Breakfast which was full of choice and even had veggie sausages, awesome!
So that was my weekend, it was full of food, drinks and of course, Make-Up!
I hope you all had a lovely time as well and have a nice week ahead! Mine shall consist of me and my laptop being joined at the hip with lots of exciting blog posts to type!
Until next time,
