January Essentials

So apparently we’re out of the worst of the January blues now, who knew?

With this in mind I guess it’s time to stop seeking refuge indoors and brave the  weather. One thing I really love is crisp January walks around Cardiff. We’re so lucky to be spoilt for choice when it comes to parks and places to go walking in Cardiff. My favourite place to walk around right now is Bute Park, it’s absolutely gorgeous and quite large for a inner city park (think the budget version of Central Park). There is a river running through and loads of different gardens with tea shops because you know you get thirsty when out for a walk! Tea anyone?

That face! I just love the park so much!

Of course when out it is very important to wrap up warm in your January best! I personally love wearing my sandy coat from Wallis and throwing a huge scarf over. Nothing says warm to me than a good ole’ scarf.

For me, January also means no shaving! (A girls gotta keep warm you know?) Yay! Well except armpits… Them bad boys are definitely the exception. Bearing this in mind, I tend to stick to the same sort of outfits, jeans and a blouse or tee. I go for clothes that say comfort above all else so expect to see me walking around Cardiff in a pair of skinny jeans and maybe a baggy shirt. My fave place to shop at the moment is Topshop, I absolutely love their Jamie jeans and currently own about four….oops!

When it comes to January footwear no shoes speak to me more than my ankle boots from New Look which I bought a few months ago now (sorry guys!)

They have a gorgeous tartan pattern on the inside which you can show off by folding down or you can hide and keep your ankles warm as well. What I love about them most is how much they remind me of the boots Ana wore in the cartoon film Anastacia circa 1997, so I’m also reliving my childhood when I wear them!

 See! We’re like practically twins!

Anyway that’s all for today I hope you liked getting an idea of what I wear to keep warm in the colder months. I’ll leave details of where I get certain clothes mentioned above from down below!
